E-Discovery Ireland 2011 in the news

E-Discovery Ireland 2011 is being talked about all around the world. We will share external news here as it happens.

Thanks to Gordon Smith and @Siliconrepublic for a great article discussing e-discovery in Ireland and the conference.

Thanks to Tom Murphy and @newtechpost for the great write up.

Thanks @projectcounsel for the write up and the link to www.ediscovery.ie on your homepage.

Thanks @chrisdaleoxford for the blog post and of course for agreeing to speak at the conference.

New speaker confirmed: Senior Master Steven Whitaker

We are delighted to announce that Senior Master Steven Whitaker will be joining us at the E-Discovery Ireland conference on October 6th.

A former barrister, Steven Whitaker was appointed in 2007 as Senior Master of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in the Queen’s Bench Division. He has taken a leading role in reforming the conduct of e-discovery / e-disclosure in the UK and is well known for his landmark judgement in Goodale v Ministry of Justice; the e-Disclosure Practice Directive and the accompanyingESI  Questionnaire; each of which has had a significant impact on UK discovery practices.

On October 6th Senior Master Whitaker will speak alongside Chris Dale, sharing his personal experience of reforming the UK’s procedures for e-discovery as well as his views on the development of e-discovery in other common law countries.

Programme update

As we finalise the programme for E-Discovery Ireland 2011 we have made an important change to the structure of the event. Although our draft programme and earlier promotional material had outlined a two-day event we have been able to fit the vast majority of our planned sessions into an extended one-day programme.

We recognise that everyone working in e-discovery has enormous pressures on their time and that a two-day event might be difficult to justify, therefore we hope that a one-day format will better suit schedules. One benefit of this change is that it has enabled us to reduce ticket prices and sponsorship costs. Tickets for this event, with a full 8 hours of educational content, are now priced at €179 with a 20% discount for early booking which brings the current price down to €149 plus VAT.

Registration is now open – Book your ticket

Tickets are now on sale for E-Discovery Ireland 2011.

Reserve your place now by clicking “Buy Ticket” in the booking area on the right.

An early bird discount applies to tickets purchased before September 22nd. This early bird ticket price of €149 represents a discount of over 15% compared to the full price of €179.

Seven world class speakers now confirmed for E-Discovery Ireland 2011

We are very excited to announce that the following speakers have now confirmed their participation in E-Discovery Ireland 2011. We look forward to meeting them all at E-Discovery Ireland next month and to announcing new speakers over the coming days.
